Course description
Criminal Law – Prof. Eliezer Lederman
The course will focus on the general part of criminal law. Among the topics that will be discussed are: The definition and structure of criminal law; the components of criminal liability; the actus reus; the mens rea; volition and causation; widening the concept of criminal liability: accomplices, conspiracy, vicarious and corporate liability; criminal defenses: mistake, insanity, self-defense and necessity.
