The course deals with the theoretical basis of family therapy, including an emphasis on understanding psychopathological conditions in the light of family dynamics, an introduction to a range of schools and methods of family therapy, especially Minuchin's structural family therapy and Whitaker's existential family therapy.

Course Assignments: 2 papers and an examination.
