|1082-4026-01||Social Aspects of Public Policy|
|FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES | PUBLIC POLICY|
In this class we will dive into theories and practice in public policy change. We will focus on the interconnections between individual behaviour and its influence on societies. We will try to understand how public policy deals with questions such as: what are our major society goals? Who are the relevant actors? How can we make a desired change? Where do ideas for change come from? How does scientific knowledge influence policy making? What kind of policy tools may facilitate changes?
Students will choose an case where they wish to encourage a change in current policies. All the theories taught in class will be implemented by the students in their selected case study. In each class some of the students will present how they can use the theories they’ve learned in order to facilitate their desired policy change.
