Course description
The eyes are restless. Even we feel like we are keeping steady fixation, our eyes constantly move. Eye movements of various types are an inherent part of the visual system. On one hand they are a source of challenge and difficulty but on the other hand they are a mechanism supporting vision. Tracking eye movements is an important methodology which can help understand a variety of cognitive mechanisms, not only vision. In this research seminar, students will learn an introduction to the use of eye tracking in cognitive neuroscience. They will participate in studies in the lab for electrophysiology (EEG) and eye movements focusing on various topics in the field including: attention, reading and motion perception.
