This course will introduce the field of (physical) Health Psychology, its development and origins in the Bio-Psycho-Social model of medicine. Potential mechanisms linking physical health to psychological constructs and processes will be presented. Among the course topics: stress and health, personality correlates of health, health behaviors, pain, and illness cognitions. Course requirement: final exam on lectures plus contents of a few scientific articles (in English).
