Course description
The course analyses allocation procedures in cases property rights are not well defined. We will discussthe utilitarian principle and its axiomatizations, and the rawlsian maximin criterion. We will discuss some of the objections to this model, analyze randomization mechanismsm, and show how modern decision theory can add new insight into the question of "what is a just distribution".
