This course addresses the significance of the museum’s experience and its interactive qualities. Students will learn on various ways of forming substantial relationships between museums and its diverse publics, analyze the role of the museum within society, and explore the curator’s active role in promoting these functions in the museum. The course includes a theoretical survey of several key approaches to museum education, examples of important educational programs, and an interpretation of exhibitions as interactive learning environments.
