The course will present research methods in different disciplines, and in architecture
specifically, in order to create the grounds for the students' research along their
studies. Architectural research is multi-disciplinary and is related to various
disciplines, such as: engineering, history, geography, culture and social studies. We
will discuss the ways in which research methods were developed in various
disciplines and their relevance to architectural researches. We will discuss approaches
from various fields: Architectural history, critical theory, sociology and geography.
Guest lecturers will present various methods they use in their research.
