This is a required course for architectural students who are preparing their final project. Its goal is to develop the theoretical scope of the project’s thesis and articulate its arguments according to academic standards of writing. The first, main part of the course comprises of lectures from a variety of disciplines that intersect with architectural practice and thought, forging an interdisciplinary space for architectural research. The second part of the course comprises of a workshop where students survey and analyze the relevant fields of knowledge and prepare the scholarly foundation of their final project’s thesis.
