The year: sometime in the far future.
The reality is unknown.
Currently, more than 50% of the world’s population lives in urban environments. Urbanism is increasing all forecasts suggest that unless an unpredicted scenario occurs, this trend will continue.
The future cities have been engaging architects and other creators who tried to suggest results to various scenarios, based on existing or assumed technology.
What can we expect from the future?
To answer this question we will create the foundation for a “future reality” which will be used to explore various urban issues. Each group will adopt several key decisions that will describe the future at the global (which country will be the leader of the world? Which religion will be the most dominant? What will be the key international allies? What will be the leading economic policy? etc.) and local scales (What will be the internal ethnical distribution? Who will be the dominant cities? etc.). In addition, decision regarding future technologies will be made. We will use the above to deal with relevant urban issues and design urban fabric.
