“The more you know, the more you see” (Aldous Huxley) – The aim of this course is to acquire skills of description, analysis and interpretation of works of art.  Sensual data received in the eye and perceptual information processed in the brain will be examined in order to understand how and why we see and conceive visual messages, in general, and painting, sculpture and architecture, in particular.
