The seminar deals with the ethics and politics of documentary and with the axiographic space in which it works. It deals, among other issues, with the different perspectives of cultural representations, the Westernized gaze at the 'other', 'Cinema of Attractions', travelogues, and Mondo films and Shockumentary.
