Course description
The course deals with the transformations and changes in the definition and conception of documentary through a close study of different tendencies in documentary cinema from its beginnings until recent decades. It discuses the different modes for representing reality, ethical issues concerning documentary, and hybrid genres such as the docu-soap, animated documentary, reality shows, mock-documentary, etc.
