“Directing Genre Films” is a workshop in which students develop and produce short genre films – from short horror films to short romantic comedies. The aim of the workshop is to develop scripts for short genre films while creating a deeper acquaintance and understanding of popular genres.

The workshop will open with a look at the main narratives and visual elements that define the genres which the workshop will choose to produce while the rest of the workshop will be utilized to practically develop short genre scripts which the students will produce and direct as their final workshop assignment.
