Storyboard is an essential tool in the film industry today: it allows the filmmaker to develop an original cinematographic language and to produce sophisticated films using only a sheet of paper, a pencil and his creativity. Without earlier knowledge in drawing, the student will learn how to integrate visual, sound, time line design and camera movement in one unique cinematographic language. During the course, we will analyze existing storyboards and animatics from different films and filmmakers and compare them with the films based on them.
