This is the second part of a two-year course that introduces the students to key films of world film history. Each screening is accompanied by a short introductory lecture that places the films in their historical, aesthetic and cultural context, and explains the film's importance. In its first year the course proceeded in a more or less chronological order, screening classics of world cinema history. During its second year the course will present exemplars of main cinematic currents and tendencies in the history of world cinema.
