The two year course introduces to the students key films and filmmakers in world film history. The screening of each film will be accompanied by a short introductory lecture that places the films in their historical, aesthetic and cultural context. The course will explore the connections and influences between film past and present, artistic and commercial cinemas as well as between different national filmmakers.
