Course description

Advanced course in stage & studios lighting planning and designing.
Emphasis on lighting design processes, from the stage of reading the play through the process of thinking and planning with the stage designer and the director, operating lists and directions, calculation of illumination angles, and planning the technical needs of the lighting system - the quantity and type of equipment required, details of all parts of the system .

Study the design and calculation of lighting, including calculation of the illumination area of each lighting fixture, according to the illumination zones which they should illuminate.
Introducing all the existing lighting positions in the modern theater - the lighting bridge, Stage Bridge, stage pipes, side bars on the stage, etc., all in the context of planning stage lighting, and the use of each of these positions.

Reviling the world of the latest lighting instruments - LED lighting, intelligent lighting fixtures and their use as a legitimate tool in theater lighting design, an in-depth understanding of all parts of the modern lighting system including the communications and computerization systems, which is the basis for advanced lighting systems.
