Course description
intersection between theater and science that began with the play Copenhagen (1998), which revolves around a secret meeting between the physicist Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg during World War Two, has become a hot topic and signals a new trend in contemporary theater. In Science on Stage, this trend, which is described as a new category – "science playwriting" – demands special examination. Though the merging of science with theater has indeed become popular lately, the topic itself has a long intellectual as well as performative history.

those ideas   developed in Philosophy of Science that might provide a theoretical and conceptual framework for the understanding of the plays' scientific topics; and discuss the interrelations between form and content, the relations between ethics and aesthetics in the plays, the drama in science and the science in drama.
