The course is a basic introduction to the major periods and genres in the genealogy and evolution of the Israeli stage-drama and major trends in the Palestinian theatrical text. The course will investigate the various structural and rhetorical features of the plays and the theatrical texts derived from the following categories: the Holocaust theatre; the dramaturgy of war and peace; social and ethnic drama; Feminist drama; Israeli theatre and the Palestinian problem
