Course description
The course offers keys for practical dramaturgy of canonical plays, with an emphasis on visual thinking and on the development of stagey images out of, or inspired by, the written text.
By studying several plays by Sophocles and Shakespeare, we shell explore modes of dramaturgy of the Greek theatre and the Shakespearean Theatre, while focusing on research of potential images reflected in the playwrights' dramatic choices.
