Course description

Course Description: The course is a foundation course for teaching diploma students in the various fields of content and it aims to present a complex and varied picture of the education system in Israel in the past and present.  The course will present theoretical aspects and basic concepts in the history of education generally and in Israel in particular, and will seek to examine questions and issues which concern education professionals today in the light of existing theory and research.

Aims of the Course: The course’s aim is to give teaching diploma students basic introductory knowledge of the structure of the educational system in Israel and the variety which exists within it, to become acquainted with the fundamental concepts common in educational language, and to expose the students to the present-day dilemmas which occupy the system
