Social inequality in the education system has been a topic that has preoccupied the public and policymakers since the establishment of the state, but until now no significant and effective solution has been found to solve the problem. The course will examine the extent of inequality and its various dimensions, inside and outside the school, and offer various theoretical explanations for this phenomenon. During the course, students will be exposed to international literature on the subject, to a variety of up-to-date data pertaining mainly to Israel, to relevant videos and, to the extent possible, to a guest speaker reflecting the field's voices.
