Course description
The course will present the definitions, symptoms, main theories and subjective and objective tools used to diagnose children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); the behavioral, academic, cognitive and social characteristics of children and adults with ADHD will be presented referring to the different sub-types of ADHD. Then, the educational implications of ADHD will be discussed and main educational principles for working with children and adults with ADHD will be elaborated. The students will be instructed how to write up their seminar proposals. In the second semester students will run their research and will be guided how to analyze the results. At the end of the year students will present their findings in class.
