Course description
This course introduces major events and personae on the political map of modern India: the 1947 partition, the Congress Party, the Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty, the emergency rule, minority and quota politics, the rise of the BJP, the nuclear arms race, the economic reforms and the issue of globalization.
