The course will include three parts. In the first part we will learn about the different translation traditions between Hebrew and Arabic and between Arabic and Hebrew, in the Middle Ages and in the Modern time, and the different approaches to translation and the contexts in which translations were made and read.
In the second part we will work on creative writing in Hebrew or Arabic or between Hebrew and Arabic.
In the third part we will work on translation of works made in the class, from Hebrew into Arabic and from Arabic into Hebrew, in small groups.
Also, we will meet translators in few meetings.
Knowing Hebrew or Arabic is necessary for the workshop.
