The relationship between children and parents constitutes a pivotal axis in Modern Hebrew Literature, from the period of the Enlightenment to this day. We will explore the fluctuating cultural and ideological representations of this dynamics in the various literary generations, focusing in particular on works of Brenner, Agnon, Shamir, Oz, Kahana-Carmon, Shabtai, Grossman, Hoffman, Castel-Bloom and Keret.
