Course description

The lover and the lunatic have been a source of inspiration for writers. The resemblance between the two figures is fascinating and challenging at the same time. This course will focus on literary works by Goethe, Kleist, Büchner and Thomas Bernhard, among others, in order to explore how these writers deal, shape and represent discourses of love and insanity.
