Who is Sherlock Holmes? Where did he come from and how did he become the most famous literary detective? In this course we will follow Holmes's carrer through the literary works of A. C. Doyle, and will investigate the Myth of Holmes, as it was developped in cinematic and TV adaptations throughout the 20th and the 21st centuries.
