Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Between Biography and History

The course will discuss the biography of Chaim Weizmann, the leader, the scientist and humanist in light of the history of the first half of the twentieth century. Why Weizmann had pushed out from the Israeli collective memory and how we see today his role in history? The course will also deal with the biographical genre and the way it allows us (or not) to study history.
