Jewesses and conversas in medieval Spain

 The course aims at reconstructing the history of these Jewish women and conversas on the basis of the evidence available to the historian of the Jews in medieval Spain and their descendants in the Renaissance. We shall also examine contemporary perspectives and theories on womens history.
