Course description
Polish Jewry 1918-1939: Politics, Education and Society
A vital Jewish community exited in Poland between the Two World Wars, which numbered more than three million Jews. Contemporary documentation will help us follow the different patterned which existed in this community during its existence. Among the questions we will discuss: the political parties and their place within the life of Polish Jewry as well as their part in the internal Polish politics, Jewish organizations, daily life in central cities and rural parts of Poland and the multi-lingual educational and cultural life.
