Women and Nation-Building: 1900-1950
This course explores the values and cultures of Israel through gendered, cultural, social, and historical perspectives that extend from pre-State, Mandatory Palestine to the 1960s. Through interdisciplinary lenses, the course examines the development, evolution, expression, and reflection of Israeli women in history, and follows the construction of Zionist and Israeli womanhood through ideology and cultural production.
