Select Questions in the History of Ancient Science
This course deals with one of the unique characteristics of Greek culture: scientific thought. We will read texts in natural philosophy, astronomy, mathematics, and medicine and attempt to understand the origins of Greek scientific thought, the central questions dealt in these sciences, and the relationship between science and culture.
