Introduction to Ancient Greek Literature
Studying selected passages from the Homeric and Hesiodic epics, as well as selected plays by the three classical tragedians: Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides. The Course goals are to make the student better acquainted with the literary world of ancient Greece, with its contents, its historical and cultural context and its classification into different genres.
