Short Course Description

Economic and business thought is a product of the period in which it was practiced and it reflects the beliefs of the contemporaries on the ways in which the economy and business should be run, their perception of man and society.

In the course we will learn about the development of theories on economics, from ancient times to the modern period.

The aim of the course is to provide a historical, social, and conceptual perspective on the economy and the business world, while examining them in a broad conceptual framework. The course is a panoramic and wide-ranging course - it offers a philosophical and historical look at the economy but also provides an economic perspective and understanding of history.

A student participating in the course will know and understand the historical processes of the economic methods and their philosophical background.
