Course description
In the eve of the 20th century Argentina emerged as one of the ten richest countries in the world, benefiting from an agricultural export-led economy as well as British and French investment. But, during the last two thirds of the century, the country faced several military coups and political instability, along with periodic economic and social crisis that restrained its full capitalist development. The aim of the course is to provide a basic knowledge on Argentina in the last century. The course introduces the contemporary Argentinean history combined with relevant social, political and economic data.
