The lesson will deal with key processes in European history throughout the twentieth century and their interconnections. We will learn about technological changes and their impact on the modern perception of time and space, grand ideologies and their manifestations in daily life, social relations and their economic infrastructure, war and violence, and the relations between clerics and artists and culture and patterns of thought. We will also learn about trends and approaches in historical analysis. Students will acquire basic skills in analyzing historical sources, reading papers, searching for materials, constructing arguments and academic writing
