A research seminar is given as tutorial: students are required to write two essays on the given topic and discuss it through several proposed articles. The present seminar focuses on the concept of the university: the presuppositions underlying it, their coherence, and their consequences – especially in contemporary "neo-liberal" democracies. Among the texts offered for discussion are articles by Kant, Heidegger and Derrida.
