Course description
The aim of this course is to introduce the students to the philosophy of the Stoics. Stoicism is one of the most important schools of the Hellenistic and Roman period. We will start with the ancient Stoa, and study topics related to ethics, physics and epistemology. Afterwards, we will study later Stoic philosophers such as Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius.
