Prerequisite: Analysis of Production Systems (2)

The laboratory will expose the student to various aspects of production planning and control, including decision-making in the computer-integrated manufacturing environment. The focus will be primarily on using an industrial MRP software, the practical considerations of applying scientific methods to production control (including limitations), strategic and operational decision-making in operations and production management, and the global view of organizational goals and resulting needs. During the course the students will visit an industrial plant and meet personnel in charge of the production floor control.
