Prerequisites: Analysis of Production Systems (2).
 
Course Description:
The course covers state of the art logistic strategies, combined with the quantitative models which support them. The course will focus on analyzing supply chains and introducing methods to improve the integration along them, as appropriate for the studied business environment. The course will cover: 1) central issues in supply chains – coordination within and outside the firm, 2) quantitative methods to analyze and improve decision making and performance measures, 3) applications – supply chain management strategies that have been adopted by leading companies.

Participating in the supply chain simulation is mandatory.
A guest lecture will be given during the course. A tour to a distribution center will be
scheduled towards the end of the semester.
 
Course grade:
Final exam: 75%
Homework assignments: 15%
Class participation: 10%
Assignments may be submitted in pairs. The exam will be with open books.
