Interferometry and types of interferometers for creating interference. Temporal and spatial coherence. Optical and digital holography. Quantitative phase interferometry. Coherent gating for creating sectioning and 3-D imaging. Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), types: time and frequency domain, scanning and scanless (full-field), doppler. Biomedical and clinical applications.
