Flow patterns: The Role of Flow Patterns, Stratified flow, annular flow, Slug flow, dispersed bubble flow, counter current flows, flow pattern transition.
Transient flows, the 2 fluid models, derivation of the two fluid model equations, Stratified flow, Hyperbolic systems, characteristics and well posedness, Stability and application to flow pattern transition, Structural stability.
The drift flux model, Derivation of the drift flux model equations. Characteristics and well posedness, Application to steady state flow.
