Fundamental parameters of antennas. Wire antennas: Pocklington integral equation and solution by method of moments. Feed models. Calculation of current distribution, far field, and impedance. Design of wideband wire antennas using genetic algorithms. Wire antennas on finite ground plane - method of moments solution. Lens Antennas. Reflector antennas: analysis by physical optics, geometrical optics and GTD, discussion of losses and efficiency. Method of moments analysis and fast algorithms for reflector antennas. Microstrip antennas: transmission line and models, analysis by method of moments. Wideband antennas: theoretical limitations and design techniques. Dielectric resonator antennas. Smart/adaptive antennas.
