Structure, vertical profiles, the fundamental forces; the atmospheric engine; Bjerknes model of cyclone, radiative temperature equilibrium; synoptic systems, basic thermodynamics, moisture and its definitions; tephigram and its uses, static stability: types of clouds; forecasting.
