Course description
Many-body physics: "second quantization". Quantization of fields. The electromagnetic field. Polarization, mixed states, coherent states. Radiation from atoms and scattering of light. Pairing and the BCS theory of superconductivity. Relativistic quantum mechanics: the Dirac equation.
If time remains: the Feynman path integral or the Dyson expansion and Feynman diagrams.
