הקורס מיועד לתמידי שנים—ג׳ ד׳—ותואר שני  בבית הספר למוזיקה. שנים אחרות באישור מרצה.

תיאור הקורס  

קורס בינתחומי ראשון מסוגו המשלב מוזיקה, טכנולוגיה וארכיטקטורה, בשיתוף עם תכנית מתחברים + למעורבות בקהילה. מטרת הקורס היא הארה תיאורטית ומעשית של חללים הממוקמים בשוליים החברתיים והכלכליים של העיר באמצעות התערבות אומנותית-מרחבית המתמקדת בקול ומוזיקה כסוכנים של שינוי עירוני. נעסוק בתפקידם הכפול של אמנות ומוזיקה: מחד, כביטוי לפוליטיקה מתנגדת המעניקה ״קול״ למגוון אוכלוסיות בשוליים העירוניים, ומאידך כקטליזטור של תהליכי פיתוח וג'נטריפיקציה העלולים להדיר את אותן אוכלוסיות. על מנת לבחון תהליכים מורכבים אלו, יוקדש הקורס לדיון תיאורטי רב תחומי והרצאות אורח, למחקר שטח וליצירה. נקדיש חלק מרכזי בקורס לעבודה מעשית, בה נכשיר חלל בדרום תל אביב כמרכז תרבות, ניצור מיצבים אדריכליים וקומפוזיציות מוזיקליות מבוססות מקום, תוך דיאלוג עם תושבי דרום תל אביב על תפקידם של מרחבים אלו וחשיבותם בעבור קהילות שונות. 

An Interdisciplinary course, the first of its kind in the Faculty of Arts, combining music, technology and architecture. The purpose of the course is theoretical and practical engagement with spaces located on the social and economic margins of the city, focusing on voice and music as agents of change in urban settings. We will deal with the dual role of art and music: on the one hand, as an expression of resistive politics that give voice to populations on the municipal and social margins, and on the other hand, as a catalyst for urban renewal and development processes that often exclude these populations. In order to gain first-hand experience with these complex processes, a central theme of the course will be dedicated to practical work, in which students will transform and renovate an unused structure in south Tel Aviv as a cultural center, and create architectural installations and site-specific musical compositions, while discussing how such spaces can benefit and generate dialogue between different communities and engaged parties.

במהלך הסמסטר יתקיימו הנחיות באוניברסיטה ובשטח. הסטודנטים יתחלקו לצוותים אשר יבצעו מחקר אתנוגרפי משותף, הכולל סיורים בשכונות הדרום, איסוף ראשוני של חומרי אודיו, ויזואל וארטיפקטים וראיונות עם גורמי שטח. בהתבסס על מחקר, סטודנטים יציעו פרוייקט סיום, הכולל תכנית עבודה וסקיצות לפעולה אותה יבצעו לקראת תום הסמסטר. עם הצגת הפרויקט יגישו הסטודנטים תכנייה המתארת את התמה המרכזית, הרקע התיאורטי והמעשי לפרויקט ואת האופנים בהן הוא משתלב במרחב העירוני-קולי של דרום תל אביב.
