שיעור – תירגול, 4 שעות סמסטריאליות

בחינה בסוף השנה

מבנה השיעור יכלול השתתפותם של 2 פסנתרנים אשר ינגנו במהלך כל שנת הלימודים בשני פסנתרים כתזמורת וירטואלית. המוסיקה תנוגן מעיבודים שנכתבו ליצירות אלו או ישירות מהפרטיטורה. הסטודנטים ינצחו על שני הפסנתרנים כאילו הם עומדים מול תזמורת. כל הסטודנטים מחוייבים להיות נוכחים במהלך כל השיעור.

מעבר לדרישות בתחום המעשי של הניצוח, הסטודנטים ידרשו להיות מוכנים גם על הנושאים הבאים בכל יצירה ברפרטואר הנלמד: הרמוניה, צורה, תזמור, פוליפוניה, סגנון.

מטרות הקורס

ביסוס עקרונות ויסודות הניצוח, קריאת הפרטיטורה, טכניקה ניצוח בסיסית והכנה לקראת לימודי ניצוח מתקדמים.

דרישות הקורס

נוכחות חובה, השתתפות פעילה.

עבודה על החומר הנדרש בכיתה, יכולת להציג ניהול תזמורת ברמה בסיסית.

על מנת להשתתף בקורס כמקצוע ראשי בניצוח תזמורת, נדרשת בחינת כניסה. זכאות תקבע  על פי רמת הביצוע של הנבחן.

מטלת סיום

עם סיום הקורס יסודות הניצוח הסטודנטים יעברו בחינת מסכמת מעשית בכיתה.

ציון הקורס

בחינת סוף שנה תתקיים לכל המשתתפים בכיתת יסודות הניצוח.

הציון הסופי מורכב מ 50% ציון הבחינה ו 50% רמת ההשתתפות בכיתה במהלך השנה.

* בחינת כניסה נפרדת עבור תלמידים המיועדים לכיתת ניצוח מתקדמים (שנים 2-4) תתקיים גם היא בסוף השנה האקדמית. יקבע ציון סף כדי להתקבל להמשך לימודי ניצוח מתקדמים.

Course Description:

Course Name: Basic Conducting

Annual, 2019- 2020

Lesson - Exercise, 4 semester hours

Exam, end of the year

The form of the lesson will be having two appointed pianists through the whole academic year playing on two pianos as a virtual orchestra; the music will be played from the scores of four-hand piano arrangements or directly ripping from the score. The students will conduct as if they are in front of an orchestra. All the students should stay for entire lesson except for their actual conducting time.

Besides knowing how to conduct the music with hands, harmony-form-orchestration-polyphony-style will be strictly discussed in each piece of music.

Course Purpose

Establish the concept of conducting, concept of score studying, basic conducting technique, prepare for further advanced conducting study.

Course Grade:

Exam for all the participants of the Basic Conducting class will be held in the end of the academic year.

Final grade will be resulted by 50% of exam grade with 50% of weekly lesson performances.

*A separate entrance exam to the Advanced Conducting class (2^nd-4^th years) will be held as well at the end of the academic year for the students from the same Basic Conducing class majoring in orchestra conducting. A minimum qualification grade of this entrance exam is required for the examinees in order to enter the Advanced Conducting class (2^nd-4^th years).

Regular attendance, Active participation

In order to enter the course with majoring in orchestra conducting, an entrance exam is required. Qualification is determined according to the performances of the candidates in the exam.

One movement or a chapter from either symphonies or orchestra works in 2-3 weeks will be approximately the pace of the repertoire studying progression.

Except for the list of these works mandatory, students are obliged to attend the sessions of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Symphony Orchestra rehearsals with other music works, from attending the actual orchestra rehearsals to expand their repertoire list as well. (see the list of the works performed by Symphony Orchestra in the brochure of the 2019-2020season concerts)
