In recent years literary scholarship has been busy asking questions about masculinity from a perspective that seeks to deconstruct the patriarchy. This seminar sets out to reexamine masculinity as it is written in twentieth century poetry. The question guiding this broken genealogy is – if and what remains relevant of the old masculinity to a postpatriarchal world.
